i'm going to post something, i promise.

once again, i have been on a blogging hiatus for no good reason at all. drew and avery went to visit meme and poppy for a few days, so todd and i have been enjoying some freedom. i am always really sad to leave drew no matter how much i know i need a break, but after about an hour it's crazy how quickly i leave parenting mode and fall into my old routine of independence.

anyway, i took this opportunity to do something that most people do while pregnant--i created the nursery that i intended drew to have from the beginning. we loved our red room, but i never meant to have a multicolored, chaotic (looked like a box of crayons) nursery--which is exactly what it had become. as much as i'd love to, there's no need for me to go out and spend tons of money buying new bedding and furniture and what not, so much of the room is staying the same. however, the drastic color change makes me feel so much happier and relaxed. right now i'm waiting on the paint to dry, but i promise to post pictures of the room once everything is organized.
